  1. A simple title, and a simple video. If you've been consuming Magic Legends-related content, what are YOUR expectations? I was extremely dubious the game would show any promise at first, but after getting answers to some of my questions from the producers themselves, I'm now eagerly awaiting the release. A few things still bother me (as you might imagine), but given how low my expectations were, this looks like a possible surprise. I'm…cautiously optimistic. Should I expect you on the servers when Open Beta arrives 🙂 ?

  2. Imagine creating a slick looking ARPG with all the elements and IPs at WotC's disposal… and your protagonists instead of being established Planeswalkers that everyone wants to be, are generic teens. Jace? No, you don't want to be Jace, you want to be… "MIND MAGE". Or how about "GEOMANCER"?

  3. Been expecting this game for a while now and I can't wait to play a creature deck. The game looks really cool and I hope it turns out to be a fun game (Don't care about numbers either, I just wanna make crazy ideas work)

  4. I have to say I'm greatly disappointed if anything just because it's not a Magic RPG as it was first announced. Might be a cool game all stars aligned, I would not make it my main game ever though. Also kind of hate WotC at this point… Nox, I suggest you check out D&D online btw (DDO), it's a semi-forgotten gem imho 😉 character build customization is the best I've seen in ANY mmo ever.

  5. early first looks really didn't do this game any justice. It looked awful and cash grabby but I have to say the systems they have shown more recently does make it look fairly good. It has potential for sure but i'm not going to hold my breath on this one and will wait for reviews

  6. Well the Alpha wasn't that great, but it was an Alpha. When I played they were still trying to promote this game as an "MMO" looks like they listened to enough people and relabeled it as ARPG. Running into other Alpha players was pretty pointless as all the area events could be solo'd so long as you didn't have a trash deck and paid attention to your upgrades. Crafting and base upgrades taking 24 hours to complete was pretty dumb imho, I really hope they change it so you get you upgrades IMMEDIATELY if you have the resources. I don't care if the materials and recourses is a bigger grind there is nothing more annoying for an experienced MMO and ARPG player than being told "Hey thanks for farming all this stuff, come back tomorrow for your reward." instant gratification plox. As for the game play, it was alright, its wasn't PoE or Diablo 3, hell it wasn't even Diablo 2 if I'm gonna be honest, but the planes walker abilities felt like they belonged to the class, everyone got stuff to summon and the only downside is the summoned mobs really had an underwhelming health regen and sometimes it would take a while for the summon spell to come back around and you weren't allowed to stack your summons. Like if you summoned Baloth with the green mage if the same Bolath spell comes around and your first Bolath hasn't died yet and you summon a new one the first Bolath dies, or more specifically just unspawns, I get that they don't want to cluster up the areas for crazy amounts of summons, they is especially relevant given Diablo 2's history with Necros summoning 20 Skeletons apiece and have three Necros just lag out the entire game. But come on, part of the aesthetic of the green mage is summoning lots of big boi beasties let people have two Bolaths. If they want people to level up at least three classes I can hop on that since I'm the biggest Alt-aholoic you'll this side of the Mississippi but if they keep that 24hour timer on base crafting and upgrades then I'm sorry I'm out, thats just too much time to wait around to be make me wait around longer until the base is at max.

  7. What a visual mess.
This kind of game is not for me, call me when they produce something based on Magic but like Baldurs Gate/Divinity/Dragon age/Pillars of Eternity etc…

P.S. Why they call this a rpg when this looks like an hack and slash game?!

  9. I mean watch the AI at 24:40. Its either far from being finished or lacking some serious AI calculation. I cant really say I trust the developers with this one since the game looks like there will be a lot of summoning involved.

  10. I will be there with bells on.

I HOPE to get one of the fabled "pre-release" keys to play the day before Open Beta actually "opens." You wouldn't happen to have any of those, would you? 😛 I know they're giving some out to streamers to hand out on their streams to generate some buzz and get players playing…

  11. A super cool way to fix your issue with the sequencing is super obvious:
SCRY!!! Idk exactly how they would implement that if the cards you get are truly random rather then coalesced in a deck (but how hard can it be to change to a deck system that shuffles once out of cards ala slay the spire)

  12. Judging from my experience in the closed alpha. It will be mediocre. There's potential for greatness, but they don't have the publishers willing to take that chance.

  13. I enjoyed the Alpha pretty well. Only ran into a few different types of noticeable bugs. Bigs ones being overworld events that were bugged (either not starting at all, or event triggers bugged to never register so that the event couldn't be completed or you couldn't achieve the event bonuses,) and enemies spawning inside of obstacles where they were not interactable, so there was no way to kill them. Luckily, the enemy spawn bug never seemed to actually impact anything, didn't mess up any quests or anything.
