Magic: Legends Review | Is it Good? | PC Action RPG

Magic goes ARPG in Magic Legends! Is the new release from Cryptic Studio any good, or just a magic-skinned lootbox simulator? Here’s my review of the Open Beta launch of Magic: Legends.

  1. Remember, just my opinion! If you want to try out the game, check it out on the Epic Games Launcher or the Arc Launcher. More reviews coming! Also go subscribe to my lovely friend ThyrixSyx who makes a cameo in this video.

  2. They ruined magic..I play this game to unlock cards build decks and play two headed giant and duels..Y would u make a rpg with no real link to the unlocking of cards and playing with them in the real card game…

  3. I tried playing and couldn't get into it at all due to the camera… I kept thinking that it was just me, and I was missing a way to control it and change it… Watched this video and it's not just me !

  4. I checked this game out a couple weeks ago hoping it would be a fun ARPG to check out. It's just not fun at all. I love ARPGs and this one couldn't even hold my interest at all.

  5. I'm gonna try it BUT don't hope for much. It's Cryptic, annoyingly ignorant and arrogant studio known for butchering their own titles (looking at ya Neverwinter Online… RIP). And PWE, well, great at cash grabs so don't expect this game being fair. Nor fully finished. Nor polished. Still, gonna try it just to make sure I avoid it for a reason.
    EDIT:
Dear gods is this game bad. I mean, really. Optimization = 0, gaming rig has to run it on medium settings, otherwise stuff just stutters and looks like crap anyways. Graphics are a bit mixed for me, I mean I get idea of wanna-be-WoW-like cartoony thing but it just doesn't cut it. Environments look good, characters look terrible. Monsters look good, necro's undead look fun and have fun sounds lol. Character animations, though, are just so stiff and generic, like necro swinging his pendulum, wtf is that. Character customization is non-existant. Combat? Boring. Played necromancer, class has potential but random card drawing just kills strategic thinking and using spells to their full potential. I remember they said action RPG view will be better (after testing classic MMO 3rd person view for 6 months) because you can see monsters in the battlefield better. Lol nope, cant see a fkn thing because camera is very close, at weird angle and cannot adjust it. Also, cash-grab screen loads the moment you log-in, sure thing I will spend any money on PWE games hahaha.
I see major fail finally for Cryptic, and they deserved it long ago.

  6. Played MTG since Beta when I was a kid… Played ARPGs since Diablo 1 when I was a kid…. This is not a good representation of either. Avoid.

  7. Anyone else starting to feel that if Hasbro/WOTC wants to keep making digital games, and expecting us to spend money on them. That they need to hire real studios that make good game to do it, and not just keep trying to trade of their good name on crap products. For once I would like them to throw a real budget to a real studio and make a real good game. I want to be proud to tell my friends and fellow gamers that I play magic. Without them cringing just thinking of crap like this. Instead of thinking about the game I love!

  8. i dont think making the player an almost neutral observer in combat with the card mechanic is a wise decision in an action game

we get it.. you have a card game, can you let us just experience this world in a way that makes sense instead trying to cram these mechanics where they dont belong?

  9. Do you guys not have mana?! lol I am beyond offended WOTC even allowed their IP to be whored out to such a predatory game "studio." I'd rather sit on my wizard's staff and casting lightning bolt. Ugh.

  10. NEVER!
Never play a game from PWE!
You might end up liking it, like I did Star Trek Online, and then you face all the nice new classes, items, etc…. (or ships and sets in STO's case) which you can only get with real money (or daily-locked grind for literally months and months).

  11. Yeah i can see that this is just some opinion shouldn't give a fuck about. Love the Superlatives and Wrong Statements like "no destroyable object". Dislike
