  1. im disappointed as a huge mtg fan but as far as the game goes good riddance it was a terrible money grab that did nothing but try to rob players, still i would have loved if it had become a great game with an odd niche in my personal favorite genre

  2. With all the mechanics mess, mindless grind, rng and such an aggressive cash shop in BETA, i would expect nothing else. It was destined to fail, even MTG fans don't want to play it. Every company ran by lunatics that think all players are monkeys deserves to go bankrupt. We have to swim in a sea of shit in today's gaming world, so many ridiculous companies and broken/unfinished games that they call a full price for, the standards have dropped to a very low level. No one is to blame but players themselves.

  3. I don't think the game is bad to the point that it needed to close but I firmly believe the game needs a massive revamp. First, the card skill system is very unique to this ARPG and they could've made it so much better by having the cards drop and roll random modifiers. They should also focus a lot more on the loot system and make it more POE-like while adding in a massive crafting system. Finally, they should cut off all the microtransactions and keep microtransactions to cosmetics and stuff like that. That will make the game so much better. Afterwards, they need to massively overhaul the combat system (it plays rather bland and boring) and greatly optimize the game. The game graphics are not that good anyways so it's unacceptable that the game have framerate issues when more graphically-pleasing ARPGs like Last Epoch runs better. Other kinds of ideas: how about deck slot items that add modifiers to the card deck holistically that can roll random modifiers? Unique cards? Card crafting? There are just so many good ideas with the system Magic Legends had but they didn't do any of that.

  4. I was SO sad to see this! I was on the discord seeing all the channels get nuked in real time, it was heart wrenching. I was just waiting for the performance to get better in a few months and then I planned to jump in with the both feet, cause the alpha tests I joined in on were really fun and ran much better. A lot of people don’t like the monetization, but I think it’s very overblown. Yeah, that pack for 40 dollars to get a few skins, insanely overpriced. But, it’s just skins, so that really wasn’t meant for the average gamer to buy, only the whales. I didn’t lose out on anything, I still got to play the game. Assassin class low drop rate? Absolutely. Know what they did within a WEEK after hearing feedback? Made the class unlock-able for FREE on the battle pass. Later on they even gave out an entirely free fire based class. All you had to do was log in. You definitely could buy a lot, I’m sure they could have taken minoritarios back a few steps, but it still was a really fun game, and buying stuff only sped up progression. Performance issues? Yep, still a problem. But I can definitely see a huge improvement from day one to now. It’s very apparent that they were working on it and progress was being made. They also had VERY frequent communication, at least on the discord, like once a day, or week if slow. In that communication, they gave great insight into their side, what they did, are working on, will do, taking in feedback like performance, bugs, making a lot of stuff easier to get, etc. I think the devs really did a great job pulling the game in the right direction from where it started, they really acted quickly on everything. Sad part is, they also acted quickly on shutting down the project…

  5. Solid video. Short, to the point, calling out the micro-transactions, basically everything a true gamer believes in. Thumbs up and sub for you!

Recording setup is….. reaching for the stars lets say? You need to get that monitor on an arm bro!

  6. I was also hoping this game would turnout to be something really fun, regardless of the micro transactions, but it simply did not function properly and wasn’t fun. They had a powerful money grabbing scheme that I’m sure worked very well for a small number of folks willing to pay to advance.

  7. lmao, western devs dont know how to gacha…they are not subtle enough, the asian devs know their playerbase and how to get them, western devs dont, and they dont even try to understand them. They could have tried to "remake" the game, to actually use the feedback to improve the systems and their monetization options, instead they just chose to quit because they couldnt get away with shitty monetization, yup that is lack of passion, it was bound to be a soulless game with that attitude.
btw; I've played the closed test and then the open beta, I know how bad it is and how much of the feedback from the closed test they ignored, I had hopes that they would start fixing things on the beta, but they just "noped" the fuck out when they couldnt turn it into a cashgrab.

  8. To be fair there are no winners here. We got one less game to play and studio lost millions. A real win would be them getting their greedy heads out of their asses and changing mobilization model to a fair one while the game is still in beta.

  10. This is from Perfect World so what do you expect? Their new upcoming games will be crap too. People think Genshin Impact is pay to win just wait. Perfect World ARC company do not care about their players or do they ever ever ever fix anything proper believe me I know. What do I think? I am not in the least bit surprised.

  11. Good riddance to MTG Legends. A blatant cash-grab for an unpolished, buggy game that lacked depth or clarity with its vision. Players begged for the devs to be upfront about transactions – they kept lying about it being P2W repeatedly. Heck, it was so bad it was basically pay to play.

It brings me no pleasure to type this either – ARPGs are my favorite genre and MTG is an amazing IP. Sad that they botched up what once had so much potential.

  12. This is definitely a win for the gamers. These mtx and loot box mechanics are also becoming a concern in my country. As more people become aware that these mechanics are just another form of virtual casinos disguised as games.
