Thought i'd share some Info not sure if this is the best place but, here is some info. 1: The cost for grabbing the second class is MUCH MUCH higher. 100,000 AETHER 3000 of each mana crystal 150,000 gold 150 Chromatic Mana Mystic Studies Rank 5
Edit: i missed an important requirement, with the second class unlock, you have to have mystic studies rank 5— which means your aether core has to be rank 5, which means you need lots of upgrades to get it. To me it feels like the classes are designed to be part of the progression, unlocked at certain intervals.
Most of that is pretty reasonable to get 2 days of 50,000 will net you the 100,000 aether, gold is just something you get by farming dungeons, and the like (not sure which is more efficient, dungeons or skirmishes yet). Additionally i found that there is a world boss that spawns, via doing skirmishes and filling that yellow bar in each zone. This causes them to spawn in a very specific location— which isn't shown on the map at all. So seems there will have to be some exploration or waiting for folks to locate them.
These bosses award 1 shadow Orb on defeat and this will net you your 15 chromatic mana when you hand them into your mana vault (you can do that 5 times per week) which means it takes 10 orbs to hit 150 or 2 weeks roughly if you farm it all every week.
Lastly, once you unlock your class you seem to earn exp for the your planes walker as you level up the second class separately— i don't know if its an increased rate or not but i'm at level 15 on my second class, and i am about level 45, planeswalker. So it doesn't seem that slow if you are playing the game every day, and hitting your cap you should be leveling at a steady pace.
Hope that helps a bit! Like you i've put no cash in the game, so we'll see how far we can get! The issue i'm having right now is figuring out where to get those starter spells because, while i have an ok Support deck, i know are alot of support spells i havent gotten. From my own experience it feels like, they are drops from enemies. today i got Magma Burst off a normal enemy— they look like purple books, which i think are just spell pages. Which might be quite the grind to get all the starter spells.
Yes it will do very well! Diablo is 2 years away and Blizzard is falling apart! This game is amazing I love I cant stop playing my 2 days are off are here and I wont stop!
