  1. Honestly, it was as positive as I could have expected. They really surprised me with some of the build-around effects, there's a lot of the same charm that drew me into Magic.

It just takes quite a while to feel like I'm doing what I wanted to do with my cards.

  2. until we get additional non-US servers this game won't be worth it to many people by default imo. these high pings ON TOP of all the other performance problems are unbearable

  3. i am completely shocked by this review. This is the guy that has called so many games out for the terrible job they do with their games and yet this game that is being universally panned you are sort of saying good things about? i dont get it.

  4. I 100% agree with every word. The game looks like something I would play for an extended period of time IF they fix the QoL issues. Collision, a better UI, some more explaining of mechanics and systems in the game. If they smooth these things out i can give them a pass on the monetization. Just make the GAME better.

  5. I think it's very weird that they start you off with a basic, barebones tutorial and then drop you in the first zone without explaining how the rest of the game works. You spend 2-4 hours wandering around a mostly empty zone trying to figure things out on your own. What does the E button do? It seems important. What are these different colored orbs I'm picking up? What are all of these currencies used for? Apparently characters level up, but what does that mean? Do I get anything for leveling up? Do I have an inventory? How do I fast travel? Then the tutorial picks up again in the next zone?! It's so strange. I don't know how this decision made it out of the concept phase, let alone made it all the way to open beta.

  6. No no no. F this shit bro. Don't know who s responsible for this game's financial approach n methods but this goes against everything I believe f2p, freemium and honest games should be like, so hell no, zero Fing support, nada. I really miss TB opening them a new one on a 2 hour rant, rip.

  7. I'm way less optimistic about the P2W aspects than you are. I'm a looooong time PoE vet and I can't help wonder, what if the game were scaled so that T10 maps, Sirus, Maven, Uber Elder, etc etc were gated behind either A) A 90-120 hour grind or B) $39.99 in P2W micro transactions? Could you still play the game, get loot, farm maps, do dungeons, kill bosses, etc etc etc? Absolutely yes. Would you be getting a cheaper experience hamstrung by the need to bait players into falling for predatory monetization schemes? You bet your sweet ass yes.

Just because you can't gain a competitive advantage over other players in the cash shop doesn't mean you're not losing out on elements of the game because you didn't fork over the requisite amount of cash. That alone is enough to make Magic: Legends a HARD no from me. Doesn't matter how much the improve the game, it's still a partial game being held hostage behind an arbitrary paywall.

Either sell me your game and let me decide if the WHOLE product is worth my $60, or leave the WHOLE product free to play with optional cosmetics. But don't piss in my mouth and tell me it's raining with "optional" pay to win MTX.

  8. Tried playing with some friends we were sad to find out that a party can only hold 3 people, then we were even more disappointed when 3 hours went by and we still couldn't play with each other. Its so strange that you are forced to play with randoms for the entire first world.

  9. f2p players are impt in these games as well. Make it worthwhile (instead of the 1st 5 to 10 hrs being punishing/boring), and you have the semblance of a badly implemented game at least~

  10. Unfortunately there’s no endgame right now other than turning up the difficulty. And unlike Diablo there’s no map generation. So currently you just run the story missions over and over. Also because there is no movement increase, there is no speed running, only getting slightly linearly stronger and surviving enough to increase the difficulty.

"Pay to win" – whelp, another garbage I'm not touching.
They are just making beautiful Gambling Machine slots nowadays.

  12. This game is so unbelievably crap it hurts my brain!
    It's not a pay-to-win AT ALL! It's a pay-to-ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
This game is gonna be the joke of the freaking century!
Warcraft 2 which is the least good among the series, is WAY better than everything in this game. . .
What a freaking waste of money and resources and simply a bad creation.
    Disgusting.

  13. Hey Nox thnx for the video, btw loved your GU build, I wanted to try the game but since you're telling me that I need to play a lot to get to the part you're at now (in the farming part) is kinda disappointing

In 2 days they are putting the assassinn class and the spell in the free battle pass, doubling new card drop arate, removing player collision, in future they will make tutorial shor5er and the grouping happen earlier. There is a state of beta bunch of info out now talking performances and alla that

  15. From the initial announcement I was hoping for something closer to Neverwinter than Diablo. Then I got in to the NDA portion of testing and it couldn't even come close to holding Path of Exile's jockstrap.
