Everything you’ve heard about this game was true. Magic Legends seems bland, uninspired, and just plain unfun to play. What a shame.
I was really rooting for this game, simply due to my love of Magic The Gathering. Early impressions however have left me less than impressed. Maybe they turn this thing around by the time it leaves open beta, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Green is a good choice 💚
Yep, one of the worst game of the last few years. Hands down
The colision detection on that Baloth needs some serious help. He should be squashing the tiny dudes not tiptoeing around them.
This pretty much confirms my beliefs from day one when I heard this game was coming out. The monetization of it is awful so much greed being shown in that shop. I have been playing MTG for 22 years, I can't say I'm surprised. But I am very disappointed.
I think it’s decent I like the random card thing
I played it for a few days then got the meh's, Outriders I can't stop playing thanks to not RNG'ing the inventory bug. 🙂
Last
Lost Ark set a new bar for Arpg games. Once you've played it all other Arpg games are unsatisfactory.
Severely unoptimized , dialogue just lags the game even thouh its installed on an SSD
Woke = broke
0/10 video not enough "Big damage"
Can't disagree that I do not see the fun or pleasure of shuffling the order of cards/powers (keybinds) that much. The shuffling concept could be done differently and they could have created resources similar to the card game. For example, you would need x Green mana to spawn your big creature (read: instead of limited mostly by shuffling powers). Imagine if you had… a deck with many cards, each power being used once per area or resting spot, with of course special exceptions….
looks like a mobile game
men your videos are super boring and blank now day, unsubscribe for sure.
The game feels so unappealing. I'm still waiting for that one adventure-ish online RPG game with tons of actual costumization, that makes every player look unique. That doesn't have annoying fucking battle passes. That isn't shitty F2P that forces you to either pay way more than you would pay for a B2P game, or either makes you quit because you feel like you will never experience the game fully without paying a lot of money for it. Also fuck games like PoE which are complicated for the sake of being complicated and have a lot of bullshit just so they can say that hey look we have a giant talent shit tree.
It's funny to think but, we are still in the age of waiting for the ultimate WoW Killer game, since WoW is still the game that covers all the aspects that people want to see in a game of that genre. Pretty much I just wanna see another polished and improved upon WoW clone that is set in the near future, not in the past.
Is there a gaming channel for Force that I've been missing this whole time or is it game news only on YouTube and maybe twitch for gameplay?
“There’s no oomph” – in other words, some minor camera shake and more environmental response
Everything does seem like that moment when you move from great hdr to normal, everything seems a little greyed out
“Throwing out trash spells to the the ones I want” – good randomization in games allows you to make plans. Having types of spells assigned to buttons would be a much better option maybe. Maybe one for summons, one for placed aoe, one for directed aoe?
Probably need a faster res pawn on enemies not in a mission area?
Yea I couldn't play the game the way you do your basic attacks with the sanctifier was it shot where you were facing. It made basic combat a chore
I honestly don't care about having to glance at my bar to see the spells.
Yeah it's not good at all. The randomness of cards makes you feel really bad. Play Last Epoch instead it's way better. It's in early access and it's way more like diablo but also different
I actually thought the shuffling spells mechanic was really fun. I like the idea of a constantly changing arsenal that you have to adapt to. Additionally it made you think about your timing a bit more with valuing when you cast your spells and when you want others. It kind of felt like a fun challenge in adaptability! But I can see where people might feel frustration, especially if you come from other games were they do more traditional key binds.
This reminds me I got into Magic Duels after watching your FNM series in long forgotten times.
"I am a boomer after all…" LOL, who said that about you. 😛 I am 49 years old, and I am not a boomer (I am Generation X or Generation Neoliberalism-Is-The-Only-Way-Do-Your-Job-And-Shut-Up, if you prefer).
hey force, long time viewer, subbed on multiple accounts, just wanted to offer my 2cents; i love arpg's, i enjoy mtg, and this game looks like hot trash. forget ghraphics, forget mechanics…. it's overly monetized & under whelming. that said, YOUR contribution to their marketing; this video; was excellent. i like hearing your genuine thoughts, and i value your opinion as a content creator. thank you for your candid approach, i appreciate seeing/hearing the negative parts of the game equally as much as the positive points.
keep doing your thing , you rock
Wait…..people were actually expecting this to be good?
Im a huge mtg fan but if u xpctd this game to be anythimg other that ass u are so naive
I've played much worse games than this one it's not great but like I said I've played much worse
played it for 2 minutes and uninstalled
Do not defend this game. It is another cash grab of the moblie archetype. Mtg fans derserve better than this. WoTC been shitting on their fans for years. This was the last straw for me. EDIT: btw this isnt beta. Cash shop is open and no wipes will happen. Just an excuse to release a badly optimized game.
DEAD
I played the game on lunch day and got till lvl 30 necromancer and got my first perk, after that I got bored and deleted the game. The game is repetitive to the point you wonder why are you playing this game? The story is really boring, you don't care about it at all. The card system sucks, like he said, you keep looking down to see what spell you will use next. You get equipment after lvl 10 in the game and the grind is real if you don't by the packs in the store. The world is so BIG but you hardly run into enemies and even if you do, they are easy to kill and will 97% drop nothing. The assassin that you can buy is super overpowered in the world and in pvp (that also sucks). To become stronger in the game, you need to collect the same card for a number of times to level it and the sad part is, you won't always be able to use the cards you want, because you can't level them.
The bosses are sometimes glitchy or the attack are bigger then the animation.
The worse part about the game is that even after clearing a dungeon, the chests that you open don't feel rewarding at all.
It's a shame that they changed this game from an MMORPG to a multiplayer game
They should have done it like in Guild Wars 1: select 8 skills and change if you want next time you get to outpost or town.
I played Alpha and it was quite obvious this game is trash sadly.
Really nice video Force :))
I’m a massive magic fan and I uninstalled after 1 play session
Man I feel the same way as you Dennis. So much potential, love the universe, and kinda hate the card system.
Yes please. Do more of this kind of videos. (I still miss TB)
Let's be honest. This game was already doomed on the drawing board.
Queue fake surprised face. “Oh no and it looked sooo promising…”
I like this format. It would be good to get more videos like this in addition to the other regular videos. Also, I felt the same way about this game. Just more disappointed than anything. I uninstalled after the first mission.
What I found most annoying about the combat system were the previously mentioned randomly rotating skills as well as the fact it felt bad to have to constantly resummon creatures that barely had time to be effective because that's all you drew locking you out of your DPS spells. I ended up only running 3 creature spells so I always had an open slot for damage spells and enchants.
Apparently you can make a “deck” and it’s gunna make it where you know what spells your getting, lessen the randomization but we will have to see
Did you say paid costume slots? Wow….
I like seeing more gameplay
looks like mobile game!!!
Not a pc
Had no expectations from this p2w bs company to begin with.
I just want to buy a full game with no purchases. And I would love if this was a looter. Not just spells but gear.
And I think they need to have 4 spell decks. Low mana minions. high mana minions, and two spell decks. so you can keep spells in keybinds. And then randomness is whats in your deck.
They need to remove classes. Then with your 4 slots (or they could just add slots as you know. Keyboards have a ton of keys) you can mix and match your spell types. Your mana could be colorless for ease of play, or your mana gain would be determined by your gear. Greeves, gauntlets, belt, chest, helmet, amulet, two rings, offhand, and primary. This gives you ten slots to adjust your mana gain. If i'm using big green spells, and small red spells. You would go something like 6 green pieces of gear 3 red and maybe a duo piece that is half speed on both types. Duo types would be limited to say rings and amulet. Maybe you have a colorless peice for casting artifact spells or to fill X casting costs.
Designing systems for this game would be so easy. Magic has been around so long they are already there. And adapting is simple it hurts to see them cheap out and do it so poorly.
