  1. I played magic legends for a few hours, and I am bored playing it. I play magic the gathering arena, so I like deck building. However, running through large, empty areas does not seem like an arpg. Skills being random does not feel right either. I am not sure if I will be playing this game much longer.

  2. I dropped into Wolcen again last month for the first time in a long time, and I was reminded and confirmed that they still have an issue where there are only a couple skills that are viable and/or fun in playstyle. Maybe one day they will fix that, but I'm not holding my hopes.

  3. Why is Rykker repeating CDPR's talking points? CDPR are habitual liars. Their lies don't even make sense. They couldn't even do 1 AAA game right. Now they tell us they're going to juggle 2 AAA games like that's some 4d chess level strategy lmao.

  4. I love to see ur reaction and videos about games etc , but No offense on magic legends u got into the classic LOOP of the new generation of BAD gamers . quote " I played 15 hours and i did not got any significant power…i am not that more powerfull etc…. 15 hours …ONLY 15 hours…remember when games (diablo2 – diablo 1 – WoW classic ) 15hours means NOTHING. go play and get stuck on diablo 3 for ever that u get full set and u go GR80 in 4 hours gameplay idd . do not judge a game if u are stuck on the new BAD modern gaming

  5. Magic legends is interesting, its just so buggy and so glitchy to just walk around that I just cant really enjoy it. It does have some interesting concepts though.

  6. My friend and I tried Magic: Legends a week ago. I thought it was alright, aside from the outrageously terrible performance. But he complained the whole time and I don't really know why he didn't like it. Any specific complaints were nonsense like "it feels like League of Legends" or "generic UI."

In the end, we disqualified the game because it wouldn't allow us to group up, always displaying the bizarre error: "Error: Player must progress further to join group." Which player? Me? Him? Both? The other random people I saw running around?

It doesn't matter. I won't beta test a game that dips to literally 8 FPS while neither my CPU nor GPU are at maximum usage.

  7. I have been playing Diablo 3 since it released with the crappy auction house. I have to say your videos are the easiest to follow and always keep me entertained. As a matter of fact I took your advice on the new season speed leveling and my god is it amazing. 2 hours was all it took. Please continue to be a champion of the people, and stay bad ass brother!

  8. Finding it really hard to want to play D3 again since Last Epoch came out. Best ARPG I've played since D2 for sure, especially since endgame has opened up. Grim Dawn is VERY close, but LE has a more fluid feel to combat that just nudges it over the edge.

  9. About Magic Legends after 23 levels into it:
    – I didn't face any kind of obstacle yet, my HP bar barely moved at all
    – most of the time you don't have to kill the monsters you just run through the dungeons along a yellow arrow and fullfill the quest (mobs never de-aggro that's why you collect every monster on the whole map and kill them using aoe)
    – Its very minion heavy, if I play in a group its very difficult to distinguish between friendly minions and monsters; that's why I play pure non-minion
    – there're just a few skills to use and most of them work very similar, so you just learn the 3-4 "specials" and the rest is just buttom smashing
    – you never "decide" what skill to use, you just activate the skill available; there're no mana problems nor cooldowns, just hit buttons
    – I never felt stronger in any way, if I attack a monster with lv5 or lv20 it dies in 2-3 hits (the same monster on the same map) so it seems like the monster scales with you -> leveling up feels worthless
    – the itemsystem is very week, i.e. you got 8 different helmets with different attributes at lv3-10 and never switch one item afterwards, maybe update one
    – the worldmap is filled with events, you have to do and there're really repetitive
+ the gameplay flow is pretty funny for some hours, you teleport alot, run around, aoe everything, never care about obstacles

Overall: they have a long way to go, it could be interesting, especially in the overworld facing the world bosses and events but it's very grind heavy without any feeling of reward. Warning! Don't play this game if you hate to see 80 friendly minions on your screen facing 20 opposing monsters.

  10. Magic Legends needs to decide if it wants to be an ARPG or a TCG. If wants to be an ARPG, and use a card system, then remove the random element. Give players a collection of cards, a limited number of card slots, and let them decide which cards to use. The random element of drawing a card from a deck only makes sense in a TCG. In an ARPG it only leads to frustration that you aren't drawing the card you want/need for your current situation. Even when you draw the card you want for your current situation, it doesn't feel fun; it's just a relief from frustration. And the goal of any game, as always, should be to have fun.

  11. I think Kingdom hearts chain of memories did the card system better. A lot simpler, action focused gameplay with a simpler loadout of card types mixed with more complex systems like slights made a good blend that wasn't too overwhelming and actually fused the strategy of a card game with the skill based combat of a hack n slash.

  12. I pre ordered CP2077 and played it from day 1. I went in without having seen basically any pre release marketing materials and without knowing much of anything about it outside of the theme and the fact that it was an FPS (and that it was made by CDPR obviously). This means I wasn't disappointed at all and had a blast with the game, currently have about 130 hours in it. Its a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned, not perfect but its strengths make up for any of its flaws. I was lucky enough to play on a high end PC with a 3080 though for what that's worth.

  13. I felt the same way playing Magic Legends.
Played it and the visuals look really neat, story is enjoyable. I've always admired the style of the Magic World and I love that they took the ARPG route…
but the approach is reaallly rough…
Lack of persistent character progression and endgame doesn't compare well to other ARPGs on the market.

  14. Thats weird that you said you dont get a lot over 15 hours because most of the complaints is you dont get enough of you progression within the first 15 hours of magic legends. There are some definite wonky aspects to the system for sure and I totally agree with the randomness but I think one of the things thats going to make / break it is its ability to combo abilities together. So in all likeliness its going to be a spam abilities like crazy and see what you get.

  15. I have been playing magic legends since prerelease day last week. I love the magic the gathering theme to the game. Graphics are not terrible. However can slow you down if you don't turn off shadows using a chat command. Deck building with the combination of cards, artifacts, and gear is cool. However a lot of those upgrades requires aether, which has a daily cap that you can only bypass with your wallet. No trading feels bad. The consignment auction house is very weird where the less product and items for sale the cheaper it seems to be. The story is nice in places, kind of boring in others. You can only team up with friends in open world when you finish the first 5 acts in Tazeem.. Which feels horrible. Also teams are limited to 3. Makes me wonder about future end game content.

  16. Even across colors and classes different characters in magic legends don't feel meaningfully different for me. Every character very quickly and easily gains wide arching attacks, AOE, long range attacks and summons to tank for you, so every character feels vaguely Diablo 2 necromancery to me. I don't know when in character development that's supposed to change, if ever.

  17. that magic game runs like trash, people like to complain about path of exile performance but this game takes the cake when there isnt even anything going on

  18. Poor wolcen. They had a great idea and then turned it to garbage. The problem with wolcen is that:
    A. There are no classes so leveling up 1 character doesnt offer much in replay-ability
    B. There are no sets that can buff your abilities/talents

Wolcen tries so hard to be diablo but they arent doing what MAKES DIABLO GOOD.

  19. RNG spells sounds rough but at the same time locked to 6 in diablo is equally weak especially when you sometimes need to waste a slot on a spell thats essentially just an always on buff or an oh crap mobility button (especially when console gets that free extra oh crap mobility as a button not a wasted spell slot)
