Hello all and welcome to Magic Legends played on G4G. So, there has been some hype about this game from people who know but also this game has definitely flown under the radar of even MTG fans. I’d been waiting for this one ever since it was announced. Was I disappointed or pleased?
Spoiler-I was…….ok with it. It’s a Diablo style ARPG so that makes it fun in my book. It plays faster than Grim Dawn but maybe slower than Diablo games and POE. The action is mostly dictated from your spells that act as abilities and 2 basic class abilities. As a necro, I raise skeletons and can consume them for a buffed AOE centered on me. Reviews for the game are not kind but I disagree with some of it. I feel it isn’t just a brain dead button masher like some reviews say but I also feel the world gets a bit empty at times. I don’t have a robust deck yet but I can still see combos with even my small loadout. Will it appeal to MTG fans? Sure, I think so. Will it win over ARPG fans? Likely a 50% chance at best it will as other, more established franchises will likely keep those fans hooked and Legends will fail to sway them.

I've been playing Magic Legends quite a bit. I'm done with 3/5 regions. I started as the Beastcaller. Very mixed s far. Preformance is often bad and I1ve ran into several bugs. The economy is way too complex. On the other hand story missions and oredeals are very well designed imo. It's only Beta so I'm definitly sticking with it.
Leveleing and loot get much better as you go. The max on one character is 30 so leveling at half the pace of D3 is resonable. I'm lvl 20 and I have more equipment then I know what to do with. I also have more rings than anythig else. You need to get more of the same gear to upgrade it.
In the latest Dev blog they said that lvl 50 of the battlepass will give out the Dimir Assassin.
This game fucking blows.
